I picked up a pansy orchid at Reiman Garden's Orchid Fest a few weeks ago. I was assured it's among the easiest of orchids to keep. I'll admit to being skeptical but at the time of this post, it's still living if not flourishing. There are twenty-six fragrant blooms with five buds on deck. I can't stop staring at it when I'm home and it's absolutely taking over my sketchbook. The pansy orchid is in the genus Miltoniopsis which consists of 5 species native to South America. For all the days it is to be in my care, it shall be called Milton; or Milt for short.
